Really helpful, thank you!
Glad to hear! Thank you for watching and the support!
Edmonds pier, Aka: Degenerate's pier Take some protection if you go.
Hey MagLips are the tits though. My favorite is a 2.5 Fire Tiger that thing straight WRECKS em!
Maglips are some of my favorites as well!! Thanks for watching and the comment
Its regional, but if you're in the town that these were invented, or anywhere north, the pure pink buzzbombs work best.
Heck yeah
Google -Microphone Proximity effect please.
Thanks for the comment. This was an old video filmed on a go pro in the waterproof housing. Definitely have learned since then and have some better options now in the videos
Thank you for all your instructional videos! I’ve had a hard time finding fresh or live sand shrimp available for purchase. I’ve only been able to find brined ones. Where do you recommend to find them to buy in Western Washington?
The best thing I have found is calling ahead to tackle shops for their schedule of new shrimp. They get stocked weekly and will be able to let you know
Lost $100 in gear plunking and not 1 sockeye 😂
Ah dang, sometimes that’s fishing but always hurts loosing gear. Get em on the next trip!!
@@HolyMolyOutdoors I skunked again 😂
@@thatasianboi5039do it again 😂
I've heard someone say you sounded boring in your videos. And I can say you're pretty laid back talking about setups and gear but this video got me excited I could tell you really love this fishery. I never find you boring
Thanks for watching and the support! I Always try to be genuine and not fake it for the views. I have been on UA-cam for 10+ years helping to share the knowledge and have no plans on changing or stopping. Lot’s more ahead!
I was literally driving over the skag While listening to this video. Also while listening to this video I stopped and grabbed some ray's coonship lol. Thanks for the tips brother God bless. Working right now but I will watch the video later and be hitting the river 1 day very soon
Awesome
Thank you for watching and the support man!!
So trolling for them in the River would I still use the 9inch dodger?
Up in the Columbia upper river section yes they use them that size. The water current is minimal there. Places like the skagit I would not
@HolyMolyOutdoors I fish the skagit and was wondering if I could troll for them? Plunking is too boring for me, lol. I'm way too fidgety to sit still.
@@dogtower1414 you could possibly backtroll diver and bait I suppose
@HolyMolyOutdoors just curious if they will chase spoons or any specific lures because I can do that all day. I definitely chase after them on baker. So I keep busy with driving the boat.
I've got sockeye fever, and the only "cure" is salt, borax, dye, krill powder and sockeye youtube videos!
👍👍👍
Thank you for watching and the support!
Bait buttons come in handy with the coon shrimp 🦐 🎣👍🏻
Over 500 in the lake as of today.... Can't wait for the opener.... Great tips on rigging bait
Thank you for watching and the support!
The bell gear thing is a joke. They claim it knocks against gear, but water cushions, and acts as resistant dampening. I never believed it could get enough momentum to vibrate, ring the bell so to speak. I think it was a marketing gimmick. Your idea will definitely enhance the Spinner.
Appreciate the comment and support!! Thanks for watching
What about the anglers west store in Longview
I did not recall that one thank you! I haven’t been there but definitely noted. Appreciate the comment!
Mauk’s fishing stuff in Brewster is awesome.
Awesome thank you for sharing! And for watching. Tight lines and Fish on
Came across this video 📹 Browsing youtube and I thought I'd chime in grow up in the area and fished it most my life bro ant lieing on point 👉 👈 👇 👌 👍 when shore fishin I've always used the "pink buzz bomb" myself works great always if your looking for a hot spot for dungeoness crab smilk bay was my spot for big crab 🦀 go deep more on the LA Conner side does great 👍 👌 but all the spots dude says it fact both shore and trolling near shore with Herring And flashers And Hoochies omg also eagle point about 45 minutes from Deception pass give or take for some good kings 🤴 all over that area really is so Abundant for alllll kinda stuff miss it wish I still lived in the area honestly thank you for the awesome video badass sorry for my choppy spelling
Thank you for watching and the support! Greatly appreciate it. We are definitely fortunate here in the Northwest. Tight lines and Fish on!!
Vearls in Shelton
Thank you! I was not aware of that one. Greatly appreciate the input and watching
RIP to Ted’s!! They were great in there. Always had anything we ever needed and very knowledgeable. I’ve been to John’s as well and they are also great in there too.
Ted’s was a major part of my childhood and almost 20years of going there. Definitely hurt when they closed. I feel like that left a hole in what is available otherwise having to travel too far from that area. Thanks for the reply and support Jeff!!
I’m in Longview and love going to Bob’s and leaving with a little more knowledge than when I walked in. Great place.😊
Absolutely! And some great tackle too. Thanks for watching and the support
Don’t forget about Seamar just west of Ballard. They are primarily saltwater focused, but sells tackle, apparel, boating gear, etc.. Super knowledgeable folks there too. Great vid, Rick! Fish on! 🤙
I was not aware of that one, Thank you!! Appreciate the support and for watching!!
I remember there was a shop in Seattle that closed down around 2017 - 2018, any of yall remmeber what it was called?
Linc’s sporting goods?
@roberturen1772 YEAH that was the one!
Thanks for watching and the support!
@@roberturen1772 Thanks for the answer!
What about the West side of Puget Sound. Bremerton, Poulsbo, Sequim? First thing I looked for as I plan my move. And I find nothing but a Sportsman's that hardly has inventory let alone good stuff.
Not much over here. Northman’s in Port Orchard was great but it didn’t make it and closed earlier this year.
Thanks for sharing!
Honestly that is an area I haven’t really traveled to much. Hopefully we will have more input from the community on that. Thanks for the comment and watching!
Sportsman's in silverdale. Brian's was in sequim. I'm not sure if they're still around. Swains in Port Angeles. Someone mentioned another PA store I'd not heard of. Van rippers and Mason's are in Clallam Bay. For those of us who can only get out a couple time's per year, you dial in with what you're confident with, just load up on that hardware and stick to the same spots at the same times. You maximize your catch and fishing windows... As sad as that reality seems.
Good info Ric. I think you could have also included which shops and stores carry a good range of baits. I've had trouble finding cured shrimp when stocking up for sockeye fishing. Cabelas for such a large store can be lacking in bait, (one cooler). Cascade mercantile on rt 20 is better.
Confluence fly shop and Yeager's in Bellingham are pretty good places with local knowledge.
Awesome! I will add those to my list, never been to those! Thank you for watching
I'm a regular at 3 Rivers and Outdoor Emporium... both great! I work in Portland about once a month... I always hit Bi-Mart and Fisherman's Marine right at the boarder.
Right on! Thank you for watching and the support!
Jerry's bait and tackle in port angeles excellent knowledge and area specific fishing gear.
Awesome! Didn’t know about that one
Really there feels like there's a huge gap in the area left by Ted's.
100% agree. With Teds, Greg’s custom rods, and Anglers Choice gone there is nothing from Everett to Seattle till outdoor Emporium.
Does this work for bass brother?
Oh it absolutely could! Could make some killer minnow/baitfish patterns
Sunbird is now Chehalis Outfitters , I miss the Yelm store !!!
Thanks for the correction! And for watching!!
This is pretty amazing. I've jotted stuff down and will hit these places up. I'm an American on Vancouver Island and when I drive down to visit the folks my only stop has been SportCo. But I'll definitely check out the other shops along I-5. Thanks!
Glad to hear this was helpful!! Thanks for watching and the support!
Great idea for a video Rick. Fish on!
Thank you!! Been thinking of this one for a little bit and finally got a chance to film it. Let me know if there are any others I can put together!
I make the wires longer.
For sure!
How long of a leader are you running off if the small spreader bar?
18-24” typically
Thanks for watching!
Nice! I limited pinks in a few casts from my kayak at muk last year. Lost a couple and got taken for a ride lol those things fight hard in the bays. Pink buzz bomb
Heck yeah! Especially from a kayak that would be a blast
I'm interested in your 4 ounce
We don't call them beads. We call them rubber eggs. Our beads are made of glass. It stays on the bottom and doesn't bounce off the rocks.
great vid. wear a pfd!
Great video. I want to add some flies to my SpinfFish. Where do you get your Olympic Tackle Co. flies?
Thanks for the info!! I’ve been researching the different types of batteries to get for my little boat as I am new to this whole boating thing. I’ve got myself a little fixer upper pond hopper and slowly getting pieces to outfit it.
Right on!! Sounds like an awesome little project and even more rewarding when it’s done!
State required covered battery box and MinnKota I-Pilot with remote control a must, dude. Thanks for sharing your cool set up though. 👍
All these people saying bad thermostat can't cause water (condensation) to build and get past the rings into the oil haven't done their homework. Good video and a simple starting point especially if the thermostat is bad.
Thanks for watching, appreciate your support
